Creative Cube: Mobile Art Studio Intern

The Creative Cube Intern will have the opportunity to assist the Community Arts Coordinator in all aspects of programming and event planning associated with ACT’s Creative Cube; planning creative and accessible art activities, working with students and visitors to the Creative Cube, guiding volunteers, and assisting with set-up and tear-down for Creative Cube events.

Duties & Educational Opportunities
- Event support for small and large Creative Cube events (varies by semester) – opportunities to lead various aspects of the events from start to finish and/or support Creative Cube Coordinator in execution
- Program assistance and oversight; prepping materials, heavy lifting, setting up tearing down The Creative Cube, project/lesson creation
- Contribute content to social media platforms and ideas for promotional materials to promote events
- Participate in recruitment of volunteers to support events and event preparations
- Office administrative assistance
Reports to: Community Arts Coordinator
Time
10-15 hours/week (consistent weekly schedule, with some exceptions for special events)
Preferred hours include:
Generally between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday
- Monday or Tuesday evening until 7:00pm
- Flexibility for pre-planned special events during weeknights and occasional weekends
Skills & Characteristics
- Positive can-do attitude
- Strong team player, ability to work independently
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Passionate about the mission of ACT; the arts/cultural community and offering programs to people with disabilities
- Understand importance of equality and inclusion
- Creative and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
